its not too believeable...120 on a 1000 is a lil slow if you are running from the cops. there used to be a standing order in cc when i was growing up that they were not allowed to chase you down if you ran on a bike...

sounds like to me. I have a GSXR1000, and IF i were to dedicate that fully to running from the cops I would not let some motor cop pull up next to me at 120. wouldnt happen.

and whats this "hard on" ? what a friggin cop.

Just the sheer insult of a pursuing cop pulling next to me a smiling would force me to dial it up to 170.

again, if i were to dedicate to that level of running from the cops.

Guy I know who is a police officer in Corpus sent me this e-mail. (as you read you can tell he is full of himself). He drives a 2006 BMW Sports bike, most motor officers in Corpus are driving them now.

I got into a 10 mile pursuit with a suzuki GSXR-1000 yesterday....ran him into the ground. Couple of people that were able to catch up at the end said it looked like two jet fighters in a dog fight on the freeway...he could not shake me. Units could not even keep up...we hit 130+. Spliting lanes and everything....this is my second with a sportbike...the first was only about 2 miles.....Guys say that i will need three more then i will be an ACE. the cool thing is now...if you run...we seize the vehicle/bike....this on was brand new..should bring in good money at auction....OH. The dumbass on it is,or should i say, was an N.C.O. in the Marines.. I think what got him to stop is when i came along side him and just smiled....at 120mph

like the saying goes "Takes a Maniac to catch a maniac"
and talk about a hard on from . i almost could not get off my bike

AND ONE MORE THING...IF UR IN THE MILITARY...U DON'T RUN!! OMFG ESPECIALLY IF U DON['T HAVE THE OR RIDING SKILLS TO GET AWAY...

well i thought this wuz funny ...
now, not only do we have a speeding maniac on a sport bike, but now we have another in pursuit.
sounds real safe

What a joker.......Most people do a short burst of power just to feel the exhilaration or thrill of the machine. At that speed who the would want to look back to see what's behind him. I guaranteed that he did not know that he was being chased especially being an NCO.

yea.. 120.. if i was going to run, and i had already split lanes of traffic and noticed another bike chasing me. I would most def rip that throttle WIDE open. because its one thing to lose cop cars, just jump up to like 120 and then exit , u turn and go the other way

but another bike... little harder depending on the bike..def req's a clear vision, quick reflexs and the size of 24'' rims

Sounds like the cop was trying to make the story better than it really was, and the NCO most likely stopped cause he just finally saw the cop when he was slowwing back down to the speed limit. Who knows, the NCO could have been just trying to break the bike in or was just a scared squid?

what a puss!!!, and I would love to go ride with tht cop sometime.
Think I would have to show him a thing or two, and hope that he finds just how slow he really is

Too bad too sad for the NCO guy. Hope he beats the rap or else, his bike goes to the auction or the police would have another weapon of choice.
