I had 2 unofficial times (someone in stands with a phone timer) of 1.58, a 2.02 and a 2.05. I'll have to get a lap timer to see what I really run. Had a blast though.

The 1st year I started doing track days, all I worry about was learning the track. Knowing where to be, where to brake, where to get on the throttle.
Once you learn the techniques, then it's time to put them to the test.

Confidences and good track tires also help a lot!
I found out yesterday that I was running my bike with a power commander that didn't have a map on it. So I was running stock ecu for a while.

the more you ride the faster you'll get. Until you're fast and can't get any faster.. :Rolf:

Its going to take a while for my little 600 to get there.. I'm running stock suspension and that right there by its self can only go so far.

I'm just having fun right now.. I know what I can do and I'm capable of.. :-)

On trackdays he who has the most fun wins. I have always chased lap times even though I know it often takes the fun away. Many times I have come in off doing a session which I was having a ball, looked at my lap timer and was depressed. lol!
At MSRH they have the AMB system so now I don't see my times until the end of the day when I go up to the Tower and get them printed out.
Here's my time sheet for last Saturday with Ridesmart. It was hot and I was busy in the AM so I didnt go out until afternoon.

What are your times at MSRH?

Thanks for working with me on the last session Whoop. You can see how close our times are until we hit some traffic and you left me behind. I like being able to get a print out at the end of the day.

My friend let me use his timer and I had no idea what times I should be running at all. My bike is an all stock GSXR600 with BT016's front and rear. I had my new front tire put on Sunday morning. First time out my best lap was a 1:59... Second time out was a 1:54... and after lunch I ran a 1:51.25.... Two of my instructors said I need to go to level 3 but this was only my 4th track day and 3rd track day at Level 2. Only my second time to MSRH. Sounds like I was running pretty good times from reading through the thread.

Lots of fast people. I managed 2:15 my first td and on the second I was in too much traffic. My goal for next season is to get below 2:00, got a lot to learn!

Clayton times us at 1:53 repeatedly. We ran side by side for much. Pulled his good on one though, looking like 1:50. Gettin a timer and clip ons for next year. My morning sessions were on video, consistent 55's. afternoon GoPro was dead. Felt great though, kept up with Cody on a few laps and he was running high 40's. proud of how far I came.
