Mobile one synthetic is what i always use, but i like the k@n oil filter mainly because the nut on the top just makes it easier on off.

How tight are some of you cranking down on that fliter to need the nut?!?!? Even when I used K&N filters I never used that nut for removal.


BTW, OP. . . . I wouldn't even use a Fram filter on an old lawnmower. Their filter media SUCKS.

I can't use the Purolator PureOne filter w/o a adapter for my for my Suzuki or any Suzuki for that matter.... It's got a different thread size!

I've used Hi-flo filters and also Wix, I prefer the K&N over all.

My headers get in the way of getting a good grip on the filter. I have to remove the oil cooler line too. That ends up getting oil on the filter. The nut is nice to have.

Changing my earl at the moment. Letting the oil drain ! Mobil 1, 10w 40, Advance Full Synthetic. As for the debate over which one ??? I just make sure it's got something in it & fresh every 3k-5k.
