Anyone run BT-090 tires?

I was trying to see how they perform compared to the BT-003. How long to they last?

These would be going on the 250 but I guess the tards run the same size tires too, no?

I have a set of takeoffs that are BT090 on the SV on the street. Seem to have some nice grip to them... they were used as Track Bike tires on an SV in their previous life...

They used to be what we raced on the SV for the SuperStock races. They're a great tire! That was about 8 years ago though, I didn't think they made them any more...

Check the manufacture date before you buy them. If they're more than a year old I would pass.

I kinda thought the same. I only read about them in a bike mag review when they were used on the 250 a few years back.

How many sessions/track days did they last? They still make them. Reason I'm asking is because I found some barely used take-offs for 80 shipped and 150 shipped for a brand new set.

Depends on the bike I guess and your pace. On our SV race bike they would go 6 hours in endurance and that was about it. I don't know how many track days. A lot I guess if you're slow, not many if you're fast.

On a Baby Ninja you should get a whole season of track days. We did 3 endurance races on a set of 003RS on our Baby Ninja.

I guess I'll just have to give them a try. Thanks!

Have you tried bt016 yet? I like them, and my rear lasted 3000 hard miles.

I currently have the BT-16s. So far I'm getting 6k plus out of them, but I'm on a light gutless bike. I just like trying new things and sharing my experiences.
