MSRH (carousel) + turtles =

in my leathers....

So I'm halfway into the carousel, full lean, when all of a sudden I see 2 or 3 objects right in front of me on the track. I have no choice but to hit one of them - front end comes off the ground, lands back down and slides out a little with a pretty nice tankslapper. Not sure how I saved it but I did...I exit the track and go tell the track marshall that there are some unidentified objects on the track at the carousel. Apparently there was a red flag anyway so the session was stopped. I couldn't figure out what the heck I hit, didn't look like bike parts to me.

At the end of the day I'm telling Dave (1FC) what had happened, when he mentioned hearing something about turtles being on the track earlier, then it all made more sense.

Freakin turtle about took me out!!

Anyone else witness this? I looked back and saw a few bikes behind me, hope no one else hit em.

I ran over a 3' snake at TWS (Texas World Speedway) once. Luckily it wasn't in a turn. Didn't someone hit a deer at TWS (Texas World Speedway)?

Yes. A couple years ago a deer at TWS (Texas World Speedway).
