military motorcycle laws

does anyone know the requirements for riding in uniform and not in uniform for the Army? know one knows up here.. I'm in Virginia doing schooling and like to know. all i know is i need to redo a military msf course. thanks

i was stationed at norfolk naval station and from what i remember. you need boots that cover your ankle, gloves, helmet, and a reflective vest.

they changed it you need the vest on no relective belt at all if you ride at night have to have something that is refective at night and helmet, gloves, over the ankle boot or shoe i use supras and it was okay

if you are in civis as long as you have long sleeve shirt that is brightly colored you are fine then you dont need a vest only at night time because has to be reflective

For the Coast Guard we only have to wear the bright reflective vest on base (uniform or not). Off base we are still required a DOT approved helmet, long sleeves, long pants, over the ankle boots, and gloves. (again, uniform or not) Also required a motorcycle safety class. Not sure if it's the same for other branches, but for us they made it an official (general?) order a year or two ago I believe...

im army and i just left from the base to afghan like two months ago so thats the most recent and ft hood is where 3 corps is at so thats the lastest
