the ignition itself is fine. i think it's my right side controls that are ****ing up. im not that worried about it, i was going to mod the starter anyway and hide the switch. my only other problem is the headlight doesnt work.

wire the headlights directly to the battery with relays. i meant pics of the plug coming from the right harness, just to see if they match the one off the f4i.

This may be a stupid question but have you checked to make sure the filament in the headlight is good? Sometimes its the simplest solution that is the most easily over looked.

kinda put this thread and the project on the back burner while I was deciding what to do.

yes, the filaments are still good, I hook power directly to the headlight/taillights and they work, however, when I plug the harness into it and give power to the harness, they don't work. I downloaded a manual for it, but the electrical portion is shabby to say the least.

I put in on the back burner because I figured I'd just buy a running bike, but my luck being in the crapper, looks like I won't be getting a bike anytime soon, so I've come back to screw w/ this. Anyone know what kind of battery I'm supposed to be using on this? 93 Honda CBR 600 F2 in case you all forgot :P

do u still have the original battery? u can take it to walmart and grab one that has the same dimensions. patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited or any motorcycle shop should carry yuasa branded, but walmart or any autoparts store is gonna be the cheaper.

Nope, only thing I got is a farme, wiring, lights, gauges, pegs, carbs which need rebuiling and that's pretty much it. I checked Ron Ayers site and the part # for the battery is YTX9. That mean anything to anyone? lol
