It is a VERY interesting picture to say the least, but it is pretty old.
I'm sure there's other newer riders that have not seen it though.

I call bullshit on the pic. The fairings are in really good condition for doing that much damage to the car. Also, why isn't there any white paint on the entry point of the car? Just my opinion is all.

Your 'opinion' is wrong.. a few seconds on google will give you the run down on the image, a couple more will give you the correct/accurate one.

Now folx, MH has been around a few years...
the 'net among other things is a huge PoS recycling bin. Research a tad before posting up some 'big accident' or image that is older than 3-4 days.

Like I said, that pic was fake. It was a "depiction" of an actual accident. It was a display at a show. In order to remove the passengers from the car, they would have had to cut the top off. Being that I've watched race bikes disintegrate in graveltraps, hitting a solid object like a car would surely do more damage than that bike suffered.

It's in the article of the link attached above. Either that, or the guy was doing 85 (as stated in the link) through a convention center when a VW pulled out of a booth and he hit it. Look in the background. I've never seen a car crash with paintings in the background.

I like how you only pay attention to the parts of the article you like...

Quote:
The photographs are genuine and depict the result of an accident that took place near Stockholm, Sweden in July 2003.
<---from the same link/article.

Quote:
However, as confirmed by Swedish news reports, the accident certainly did happen. Some commentators have suggested that, since it seems likely that the bike would have been removed from the car to retrieve bodies and clean up blood and mess, the crashed car and bike may have been reassembled later especially for the display but nevertheless still accurately depicted the actual accident.
Oh snap, from the same link/article...

Oh wow you saw bikes hit a gravel trap.... gee I've seen/experienced what a sportbike does impacting an SuV @ 85mph, first hand. Oh, then there's that SV that rear-ended a GT.

I'm pretty confident you haven't seen the display in person, didn't look inside the car to see the damage to the bike and the pictures aren't good enough, with the right angles to properly assess either.
