This mentality is just ridiculous... "if you dont like the US then move"... So because I dont trust our fearless leaders with blind loyalty and patriotism, I should just move right?

What does selecting a country I would move to have anything to do with the US and its police state mentality? It has absolutely f*cking nothing relevant to such a topic, and the fact that it seems to be perceived as a clever little tool used in debating these issues shows me just how blind most of you cats are.

8 years on the PD, pretty sure I know what traffic tickets are about, the arrest are pot luck, had my fair share of luck too, although not once was the goal of running radar to put someone in cuffs, never had any other officer say that was their goal either. Checking ID's from suspicious asshats roaming around apartments or "shopping" for bikes to steal would lead to as many or more arrest, but this doesn't bring in much revenue. The point I was making is that its a waste for undercover cars to run traffic, and pointless, wild guess is that a marked car can get a pot luck ticket too.

I never said traffic enforcement's sole responsibility was to make arrests, just that the common person would be surprised how many criminals are arrested from a stop.

The cars in question (HPD's Camaros) are fully marked.

And out of 10k+/- LEOs in Harris County, Im sure they're not all assigned to traffic enforcement; or for almost 20yrs, I have failed terribly at my job.

Stop acting like you are some kind of saint arresting "child beaters and rapists", Im sure you dont haul in the ignorant peons who fail to pay off a registration ticket or overdue parking ticket. If you guys were out only arresting these kinds of criminals you wouldnt be seeing the backlashes you are with the constitutionalists or libertarians. Who cares what they think though... youre just doing your job. You dont answer to the constitution, you only answer to the politicians who give you your power.
