That is true, knock on wood, there is always somebody dumber than you.

I was rolling down SH288 at about 80 mph (that's pretty slow when there's no traffic). I come over a bridge and get a laser alert (probably scattered off another car), so I slow down, and I spot a Crown Vic on the shoulder. Home skillet behind me gets angry and barrels past me. Immediately gets popped by the ghost decaled car. Hillarious!

If he had been in traffic, matched speeds, he would have no problem catching me. I don't pay attention to cars without light bars.

Usually I'm pretty alert to the 9500ix tho, and what's on the shoulder up ahead. I also check on-ramps and the slopes of bridges when I past them. I was cruising through Lake Jackson at the speed limit because my 'Ka' band was going off, then I spotted a Trooper entering up ahead with his rear radar on. An 18 wheeler was passing me on the left at about 70 in a 55. I was just laughing.... "Do you not see that baconator???" Nope, he got popped.

That's in my truck though, I need to do something about my bike. I found myself doing 90 yesterday on 45 for no reason... In a hurry I guess.

If idiots on 288 would stop crashing, the cops might find another location for traffic enforcement

I was told by a friend that is also a HCSO officer that the new camo cars and SUV's are there for fighting road rage. If they ride someone's , or drive 60 in the left lane, you bet someone will bite the bait and give them a little road rage.

From south loop 610 to hwy 6 it's almost completely straight and wide open. I'll never know why crash into one another on this road.

I will say though, where 610 west bound enters 288 is a frigging nightmare. It enters into an exit only lane, where every wants to exit.

You have to fight your way into the exit only lane, then you have to fight your way into the highway to not exit. More than just a few times I've just been like "whelp, I've had my turn signal on, and two of you have tried to close the gap I'm trying to enter, I'm coming over, go ahead and rear end me with your Audi, I'll be on the ground rolling around when the police get here."

not too sure about harris, but the montgomery county constables have all black chargers (3), an all black challenger, dodge ram, tahoe and expedition, its like none of them want a car you can notice as a cop... sucks working on rayford

I've sene a Harris county Sherrif driving a F250 4x4 that appeared to have a mild lift with nice tires on it. It is always pulling 18 wheelers over on Hardy. This one does have markings all over it with a light bar, It's white too

not sure, but yeah if a officer is tailgating me, I will light up the brake lights. I wont slam on the brakes, but I will give them a "signal"

You would be surprised how many criminals are arrested by traffic enforcement division. Yes, they cite people, but also make many non traffic arrests. And like Ive always told people who say/think that the force is just on the freeways collecting tax and not arresting criminals; do you think the County jails and TDCJ is full of traffic arrests?

8 years on the PD, pretty sure I know what traffic tickets are about, the arrest are pot luck, had my fair share of luck too, although not once was the goal of running radar to put someone in cuffs, never had any other officer say that was their goal either. Checking ID's from suspicious asshats roaming around apartments or "shopping" for bikes to steal would lead to as many or more arrest, but this doesn't bring in much revenue. The point I was making is that its a waste for undercover cars to run traffic, and pointless, wild guess is that a marked car can get a pot luck ticket too.
