How Do You Get The Cap Out of the Gas Jug?

I got the 2.7 gallon gas jug that's on sale at Cycle Gear and now I can figure out how to get this plug out? I don't think I have a screwdriver that big.

Yes, I'm taking it home in my backpack.

I got it off with the boxed end of a 12 mm wrench but a socket was my next option.

Thanks
