I got to say I'm very impressed on the list so far, should a great turnout. It'll be a good sight to see all our bikes by where we are doing our thing. people will probably think hey look at all the bikers doing community service, lol. shoot with all we have one line of all walking the stretch, be done in no time. Keep us updated.

Thanks,

According to the coordinator, divided highways are not part of the program. I am going to ride out tomorrow and look at a couple of possibilities and will post more soon.

Thanks again to those who have volunteered their time.

Have to agree with Thayleal. Even the spots where could have an impact on a bike rider, like gravel in the road. Lots of good spots we got to see this weekend.

lone rider and I rode out yesterday to look at some spots available out by Brookshire on 362. He will be posting a video later. They are pretty close to Houston, close to RR and some other decent roads that can be noob friendly and there is somewhere close by to meet for lunch. I rode out to 149 and it's a great stretch but may be a little too far from Houston for some.

Also, can you post a map to give everyone an idea of the area(s) you're referring to?

Looks good to me. My preference would be fir whatever road is the most widely traveled. Just for motohouston visibility. I don't really care if it is a trek to get there.

I'm with you...even though this is not a super busy road, it is a road travelled by a lot of motorcyles which would help to promote MH.

looks good to me, I am not really concerned about where it is exactly...but it should be a well used road that the sign will be seen...

Responses to Hwy 362

I've received several responses through PM's that I have gotten permission to post. Hope I didn't leave any out, if I did please go ahead and post up your comments. Thanks everyone Here we go:

Hi Keith, thanks for your response. Basically it is about 10 miles south of Brookshire of I-10. There is a google map link on the page that you can click on and zoom out so you can get a better idea of where it is.

Do you mind if I post up your concern? There may be others with the same concern just not saying anything.

If this did become the road we may have to make it real special event, to see if we can get you out.
yes, thats cool. I want to be involved but thats a whole day thing, maybe 6-7 hrs round trip + work and eats. How many times a year are we trying to do this?
If I remember correctly it would be four time a year. I will confirm that. I also think that everyone realize that as much as we would like to see everyone there each time we do this, that is not realistic. Just no cheap cop outs..lol

Got your vid and map Lawrence, looks good to me.
I'm in as long as it's not a morning that I worked the night before.

Or I'll just get a huge cup of coffee!
