Crackheads' stories are hilarious

There is a new low for humanity. I'm riding with my girl the other day and stop at a shell. When I'm done fueling and back on my bike I'm approached by a disgusting looking woman who tells me her boyfriend beats her and she is pregnant so she is running to her mother in San Antonio and needs gas, so go over there and put a little gas in my car please young man (trying to fake crying at this point).

I'm like which one of those three fine gentlemen in that ghettomobile you just stepped out of is your boyfriend (that car was not the one she pointed at)? Do they abuse you when you have polygamous relations with them every night?

Point is, don't forget those carbon fiber knuckled gloves ladies and gentlemen, because your bike can be stolen while you are on it if you are not ready to defend your .

Way too many panhandlers in Houston. I used to feel bad and give gas / food money to the ones that seemed sincere, but there's just too many people with their hands held out. And you start seeing familiar faces if you frequent an area. Just no way of telling the ones in real trouble from the ones counting on your charity.

Then there's this ..

After living downtown I've just gotten where I just cut them off and say "No." as soon as they start into their sob story.

So just curious where this gas station you were approach at was?

It sounds a little familiar to me. I had a woman approach me in the parking lot of the Walgreens at bisonnet and buffalo speedway on time saying she needed money to get back home because her boyfriend kicked her out and she had no place to stay and was pregnant, couldn't tell because of her weight if that part was true(I gave her my sympathy but no money). Then a couple of months later I'm at the HEB across the street and the same woman approaches me and gives me the same story. I ask her, "so where have you been sleeping the past two months?" She looks at me all cockeyed. I say, "well you told me the same story two months ago so I was just curious what you've been up to?" She just sort of had this like aw look on her face. So she walked away once she saw she wasn't getting any money or sympathy this time. Haven't seen her for a while so I assume she's moved to some other location with some other BS story, probably very similar like this one because well she's clearly not too creative.

It was at the shell on bissonnet and 59 I think, or somewhere there.
This time her logic had like 5 holes in it. I guess she doesn't own a pen so she can plan this bullshit out...

I don't hand out anything.. You never know who people are or what they're doing and it usually seems way too sketchy to be a sincere homeless person.

I'm kinda curious how those people that are begging at the stop lights on Westheimer get those nice, clean, expensive backpacks that they casually place out of drivers' sight.

There used to be a guy around the galleria that was out everyday around evening rush hour with a gas can that would ask for gas money. He was in the same area everyday and had no shame if you called him out, he would say something along the lines of "gotta make a living" and move on to the next car.

I loved the one when I came out of Wal-Mart and this guy in a real beater car drove up to me and started his sob story about his old mother and his prego wife sitting in a car in the hot sun and the air conditioner was broken. He said he had $25 but the part he needed to fix it was $29. All he needed was $5 more and he showed me the part - - - - -
It was from an old washing machine . . . .

they just use the money to by drugs, I never give money

there is a lady downtown that pushes around a little girl in a stroller. She is always asking for money for food and I have seen groups of people all open their wallets and each give her a couple bucks.

She is just going to go get high, and put that kid in a worse place.

If she was really hungry she would go to a shelter. They are all over downtown.

I had two girls in a 2012 silverado crew cab with paper plates pull up to me at home depot off 1960 and eldridge the other day. There was literally 7 kids in the truck not all buckled in either. I was getting into the truck when they pulled up in front of it and waved me over. They said they were out of gas and needed money and if I didn't have cash they could follow me to a bank or gas station. I made it very obvious as I looked the truck over and over and said "I'm sorry but how can you afford this brand new truck but you can't afford the gas? Where is the kids daddy at?" They rolled their eyes and said it was none of my business.
