Was this called for

So I was on a road I know fairly well, I will admit I was speeding, but not driving wreck less. I passed a white van, in return the van SPEED UP till it could catch me. Ran me off at my stop sign to the side of the road to have a few words.

The guy wanted to get out and fight me (made comments he was going to), his whole thing that I was driving dangerously on a road. He went faster then me to catch up to me...

I honestly did not know what to do, I was scared cause he just tried to run me off the road almost, and then he was bombarding me with his words.

The next time should i just continue to ride off?

no one can tell you what you should have done. what ever you did to make it away in one piece was the right call. always do your best to de-escalate a situation, use force when you are left with no choice.

too many crazy people out there to run head long in to a fight these days.

He seemed like a power hog, someone that wanted a fight, cause he bragged about his two Mercedes in our little fight lol

Easiest thing would be to ride off. I have a bit of a temper so if he would've stepped out of his vehicle and proceeded towards me with threats I'd have clocked him.

I dont like people off.. I try to think of them when I come up to a car that its driving slow.. IF IM THE ONE SPEEDING then I will follow and wait until the right time to pass. I will make sure its aroad that I can pass (legal passing only) I will make sure I do everything I can to do the right thing...

If you passed him! you passed him speeding? how fast? 10over> 20? 25mph over the speed limit? did you wave to show respect?

Like I said.. try to show respect and pass on a road that its legal to pass..not one with solid yellow line. (you get my point)

sometimes no matter what you do and trying to do the right thing... there is always that 1 guy that hate us.

Ride safe!

yep, just ride off, and next time do not wait for them to get out of their car.. when they stop, ride off.. by the time they get back in their car to follow you will be long gone.

Dude when I saw him on my tail, i actually gunned it, I litterally started to go wide open throttle. But i could only go as fast as I could, there was a stop sign maybe 2000Ft ahead.

If I knew a fight was about to go down I'd be getting that helmet off as quickly as possible. If someone grabbed the chin they could control your head and thus your body.

Then your not doing something right if a white van can catch up.

Glad everything worked out for you!

Just wanted to add, I did handle it as properly as I could. We even shook hands, meaning we came off on a good ending. Once he realized that he had my respect, his original dispute was gone.
