I'll map something out tonight,
I just don't really want to ride the gravel hillbilly backroad again.

Unless someone feels like carrying!

They worked on a bunch of roads in that area and a lot of them still have gravel or some lose gravel on them. 949 right off Hwy36 (between Sealy and New Ulm) going towards Fayetteville is one of them.

Here is a link to a map with active construction going on.

It is one of my favorite but the road was really bad a month ago and the new road surface is still iffy but rideable for sure. We just went through there the weekend before x-mas and you just have to be careful and take it easy through there.

What he said.

It was one of those jobs where they threw a bunch of loose gravel on and let the cars pack it. TxDOTs low-cost alternative to road improvement.

Have stuff to do Sunday, so I am just going out for a afternoon ride with a couple friends. If anyone still wants to do something Monday, let me know.
I am ready to go down and check out Crabb RR or something
