IMO, if you use the "proper" type patch, it is NOT a risk.

Yea, don't take Bridgestone's advice that it's OK because posters are the true experts

I've ran plugged tires more than once and for a good portion of the life of the tire. After a while you forget it's even there.

Posters have the most knowledge The puncture is less than 1/4" and I'd say I have more than 75% tread left. Money is tight right now, so I think i'm safe until summer time

at 1500mi, you're prob at 50% of tire life.

i have the same exact tires, and like you my rear got a nail at 2k, i replace it

replaced the ft at around 3200mi

Repair it using the plug and inside patch type, keep your speed below 80 mph and you're good.

I understand you're concern, and that you're just looking out... but saying my priorities are out of whack turns it into a personal attack, bro. My priorities have been getting all the right gear and health insurance, paying off student loans. Don't judge my priorities based on my financial situation.

If this is a hobby and you have a car/truck then this is a toy. Meaning don't play if you strapped for cash and cannot buy what's needed.

If you wanna patch a tire cause you don't have money thats one thing please state that. But don't argue that it's safer cause it's not!

If your priorities were good you wouldn't be asking what to do with a nail. You would just go grab a tire and be done.
Wasn't arguing if it was safer or not. Like I said, I appreciate the concern, just don't judge my priorities.
