UPDATE
Ok finnally pulled the batteries and took to autozone. batteries are good. Cleaned all posts. Still click. Getting under truck and hear the click at the starter as is sounds like the bendix (sp) is popping but not turning the flywheel.
Looks like the starter is gonna have to come out i guess.
F**k.
Michael

my wifes 250 and my 350 will both start with only one batt. when it is warm outside or when the blockheater has been plugged in for a few hours.

don't mistake the glowplug solinoid for a starter sonlinoid.

edit ps both of our trucks have low mileage hers has only 250k on it so the motors are pretty fresh and that may make a difference.

batteries seem good. but get a click when turning the key. Cleaned posts and still click. thinking its either the starter sylinoid (sp) or the starter.
Isn't there a way to spark across the sylinoid to eliminate the queston about the starter?
any ideas?
Michael
take it to oreillys and they can check it while it's still on the truck. then you know where to go from there !

Kind of hard to take a truck that won't start to oreillys don't you think?
