Beware of Sugar Land PD

Just got pulled over on my R1 because my license plate was not clearly visible from 50 ft. They got me last week because I did not have LED's on my plate while riding my R6. They clearly are not playing with these license plates. Just a friendly warning guys... I was let go with a warning both times but have ordered suitable replacements.

I had 3 sgl pd behind me one day and they just passed right on by. My license plate is tuck behind the rear tire plus I have no lights on it. You just got a head.

I guess I'm one of those that don't understand why you'd want to "hide" the license plate. My gixxer 600 came with one that folded it all the way back beneath the undertail. It couldn't possibly help aerodynamics and have any practical benefits other than obscuring the plate. Maybe that's the reason for doing it?

There are plenty of fender eliminator kits available that look great on the bike but present the plate well. Why give the cops another reason to pull you over. Sugarland just wants their redlight cameras to see your plate so they can get their "tax revenue".

I was pulled over for no front plate on my car a couple of weeks ago. But the guy didnt give me a ticket. I drive past the station almost everyday and never get pulled over. I think he must be a new guy just doing his job

I believe in gimmi tickets.

That way when I get pulled over and the cop sees I'm not a punk kid maybe he won't give me a speeding ticket but feels he has to give me something. It makes them feel better about the stop and makes it easier and cheaper on me. So my inspection is always out. Lol

To each their own. I am just saying what works for me.
