I can tell you, since he was a serviceman, the Patriot Guard will ride escort to his funeral. I will watch for the information to come down and post it up. I was also thinking it would be awesome if a lot of the MotoHouston community would ride as well. I'll keep the forum posted as to the PG's plans if any.

Check with the family first, some don't want bikes anywhere near the funeral if that's how he died.
Just my 2 cents.

Tim
BTW, do you know Eric Story?

Actually, possibly.
I was in the army 7 years, my dad was in over 25.
Over the course of our lives we attended many funerals for fallen comrades.

There were also some that we were asked not to attend.

I was just pointing out that not everyones family approves of them riding a bike, and even if they do, sometimes it's too painful of a reminder for a bunch of bikes to show up.

Please, keep the drama to yourself out of respect to the young man.

The patriot Guard ALWAYS gets permission from the family. there will be someone from the organization in contact with them, most if not all families allow them, they show silent support and patriotism and thanks to the fallen soldier. Like I said, there may be ride info coming, there may not be, I dunno, just a peon rider at times, but like the chance to say thanks to a fallen soldier.

Sorry to hear about this. It always seems more tragic at the holidays. I'm sure Christmas will never be the same for his family.
Please keep us posted I may be able to join the ride as well. If not, my thoughts will..
