I agree with Patrick. It comes down to the rider. I have a K6 GSXR and my bro has a 05 Hayabusa and depending on who gets the jump, who hits the shifts and if we launch or roll on, I can beat him sometimes and other times not.
Braggin rights are one thing, but you wont know the difference between a ZX-10, a ZX14(13.5), busa or GSXR on the road. IMO they are all amazing and incredible bikes.

If you really want quick then get a used 1000 and put a supercharger on it. lol.FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSST!

talked to a suzuki/kawi mechanic a couple of months back....he said he thought the zx-14 was great when it came out till he started seeing them come in for service.....he said the busa's hardly ever come in with problems. (that's coming from a mechanic who rides a kawi and is a huge kawi fan)

At the motorcycle show I sat on the Busa and the ZX14 and they are huge bikes. I ride a VFR which is already big but those bikes are just huge. The throttle could've fit my hand twice and the levers are made for giants. I think their purpose is more of a sport touring bike, so I heard. Wouldn't surprise me if they are turning into a more sport touring look soon.

Either way, I am with the one saying they are too big. I'd rather have a flickable fast agile bike like the R6 any day.

Busas are plenty fast right outta the box. The 14 is a faster bike in the 1/4 of course all depending on the rider. I can count on one hand the people that I've met that can ride the Busa to it's top end limit and held it WOT for better than 5 miles. Plenty that have tried and most that failed. But it's better to respect your bike no matter what you ride and know that it will always perform beyond your limits.

I have a really slow 250mph Busa with the $$$ and the GPS to back it up. Though it's mostly stock it took well over 50k in mods to get it there.

Anyone seen that whiney guy that thinks that bikes shouldn't go fast? I know he's gotta be chiming in pretty soon.

The last Busa I saw was one chromed out at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and when it was running, it had a pack of 600s trailing behind and then passing in the turns. Some time throughout the day, it disappeared in turn 6 and I never saw it again ...

I really like my Busa. It feels really solid and stable. Offers great combination of comfort and meaty torque, its a nice compromise between sport riding, drag racing and touring. The sky is the limit for performance upgrades.
I love the GSXR1000 though, it feels alot faster even if it isn't. Or at least not by much.

I havent ridden a busa or a zx14 yet but they are both awesome bikes - too much for about 95% of the riders on this forum.
