SidShaddock at ECR Thanks!!

Sid and I had a great time up at ECR, running our usual last minute, low budget gameplan. Sid ran his second big bike race weekend on the 07' GSXR 600 in Superstock B and Superstock C and he absolutely loves ECR for its hard braking zones, elevation changes, and variety of challenges. His goal of getting on the podium in CMRA big bike before his 16th birthday (July) may still not happen, but I'm optimistic he has a good chance to pull it off by end of this season as he gets chances to start the races from the first wave. I was secretly hoping for a top 10 finish this time. Congrats to Sid for his 6th place finishes in both SSB and SSC novice races.

Thanks to the CMRA staff for their enduring patience and support. We'd also like to thank Tim Johnson of TDK racing for the 2011 Top Dog mini endurance KLX160 ride, for all the good advice, and continuing friendship. The mini endurance experience from last year helped Sid get comfortable on the new-to-him track in 2 short and wet practice sessions. Special thanks to John H. at SSRC for the continuing suspension and tire pressure advice. As Sid progresses we'll eventually stop running takeoffs and buy some more new tires from ya! Thanks to our friends at Fastline Motorcycle School, Brandon and Alonzo in particular, who have taken in Sid as a member of the family and mentored him as he has gotten up to speed over the last year. And a big hug to Sheila Paul for letting us share pits, tools, generator, air...

I also had the pleasure of helping out in the pits for the Fastline girls mini endurance F4 team, "Leather and Lace", on their first outing on their new EX250. Ana, Anita, Kalanie, Shandra, and Sheila did a great job in their first go at endurance. No mechanical issues, no crashes, and they all really picked up the pace as the day went on. We had a blast and I'm sure they will be on the scene for a long time on the white and camo EX.

See ya'll in Hallett!!!!

Peter and Sid Shaddock

Was a good race to watch. We were cheering him on from turn 7.
Cant wait to see what he can do from a first wave start.
