Whew... Dodged a nasty one! ECR Recap and Thanks
Weather forecasters were wrong right the the very last minute and we ended up having decent conditions at ECR this weeked. Minus the 30mph winds on Saturday and the wet morning races the weekend was pretty good.
Last year, in the rain, I broke my arm at ECR. The final ECR round I crashed in T1 so I didnt have a ton of confidence going into this event and frankly, didn't even really want to sprint race. I've received some nice support this year and I owe it to those people to try and get it done regardless of how much of a I wanna be.
On Saturday the 212decals.com bike bike endurance team rode strong and we finished 3rd overall and 2nd in class. Congrats to the mighty KTM and verterans Village Idiots for besting us, yet again. This was our best finish of the year so far so we're excited to be moving in the right direction.
On sunday morning the track was wet and I had no forks on my bike so I decided not to practice. It's real tough to get one sighting lap and then try to run i the low 50's which is what it was going to take to put it on the box this weekend so I got smoked in SSA. I was able to get warmed uo for the final 2 races and did a little better. It took some misfortune by others but I ended up with some good finishes.
