People really need to learn how to ride

Almost killed another person on a motorcycle yesterday. Starting to think with all the post of people dieing that there is some underground cult of people on bikes with a death wish. Driving down the road (on my cell) talking with a friend about a wreck he just got into when all the sudden Huge goldwing with a mexican not wearing a lid runs wide through a corner. So wide he is dead center in my lane, had to slam on the brakes and duck off into the grass to miss him. Wish I had a gopro going in my car cause I swear he was smiling, no look of concern or panic....

Sooo if you are a member of this cult please introduce your fellow members to Koolaid and quit trashing bikes and other peoples cars. If you are really that dumb of a rider then go do some track days or practice riding in a parking lot for a bit or something.

Knew someone would point out the fact I put (on my cell)... Threw that in there cause it is ironic the one thing that scares motorcycle riders the most is people messing with phones. And here I am driving using mine and rider crosses line and trys to hit me. (Ironic is all) oh and FYI I dont' consider using the hands free built into my car a distraction at all... Not scared of people talking on phone really in first place but Texting... That's a different story!

ROFL, you bring up a good point... If anyone knows this guy will you tell him I am sorry to have caused him to run wide through the turn

Interestingly enough there have been studies that found that people using hands free phone technology instead of holding the phone are equally distracted while driving, additionally this holds for speaking with a person in the passenger seat.

While driving and talking on the phone you still have the skills to avoid killing an idiot. Big props!

lol, there's a hispanic guy that rides around my job on a 90's 600 with no gear... plastic bag on the handle bars, and hauls down Morton like its i-10. he always sees my bike parked in front of the shop and revs it up when he goes by. I've yet to acknowledge him.

i only bring it up cause he's prolly messican and relates to the op.

Happens every spring, and even worse with higher gas prices as everyone gets a bike "to save money".. yeah.. sure bud.

By mid-summer Darwin will have weeded out all the idiots pretty much and you'll just have to dodge the Weds nite PP1 crew around 610 and the normal SMR on RR...

Allright, bro, I can tell by your screen name you're the man to see. Sorry for the thread drift, but I'm headed down to your islands in a couple of weeks. Where do I need to eat?
