and in other news, another one bites the dust...

..
Quote:
Man dies in motorcycle crash in N. Harris County
A motorcycle passenger died in a traffic crash in north Harris County late Sunday afternoon.

Samuel Johnson was killed in the two-vehicle wreck which happened about 2:45 p.m. in the 18100 block of Mossforest, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said Johnson and the motorcycle driver were flown by medical helicopter to Memorial Hermann-the Texas Medical Center, where Johnson was later pronounced dead. The driver’s condition was not released.

No other injuries were reported.

Deputies said Johnson was a passenger on a silver 2004 Honda motorcycle that was traveling northbound on Mossforest when it collided with a black 2001 Chevrolet Camaro that was traveling southbound on Mossforest. The Camaro began turning left at Wild Oak and the motorcycle hit the front left side of the car, careened through a grassy ditch and slammed into a parked, unoccupied 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

The motorcycle driver and Johnson were thrown from the motorcycle.

Deputies are investigating the crash.

Not to make light of a fatality but I laughed hard at the first couple replies.

That's a shame.

I agree.. car probably turned in front of them. Sounds like the bike hit and ricocheted off of the left headlight or something, since they were going opposite directions on the same road when the car started to turn.

Nothing wrong w/ two guys riding 2-up, imo, straight or gay. It's just too bad society's made motorcycling into this "gotta be super-macho, tougher-than-nails, 100% of the time" kind of paradigm. Bikers come in all shapes and sizes.

I give my friend a ride to work whenever I stay over from a good night of drinking.

Saves him about 40 mins of walking.
