if your wanting to practice some whoolies we need some distance and preferablly some light. i hate doin standups and not being able to see where the im going. my favorite place for this sort of riding is on the beltway and 45 and unfortunatly the cops like ride around there too. well lit and smooth for the most part. just don't go any further on 45 than oak ridge north. me and hando got pulled over through there a couple days ago. cop said i pulled it up at 80 and set it down at 120. i know well i set it down around 110 cause my $hit starts getting squirly around 105. anyways, he almost took me to jail for werckless endangerment and by all rights should have. im down but gotta be safe bout where we gon be ridin dirty.

you should be able to power it up in 2nd, have you tried? i haven't rode a 600 yet that can't power in 2nd. might have to bounce a bit but its pretty easy.

if i were you i would practice clutching it up in 1st. i think its easier than powering it up cause the front end pops right up to the BP. second gear goes either way. i mostly just power it to save on my clutch but i found with 600s you have to work them a little more to pull the front up. its easier just to clutch it.

hey, just get a cage or at least some sliders in case you go down. i don't want to see a nice bike like yours get trashed. you should buy another bike you can fukc off on and not worry bout makin it ugly. if you get a gixxer i got a ingenuity cage you can have.

i'd say my cage probablly weighs less than 10 lbs., bolts and all. just do a 520 conversion and you'll cut that weight right back off.
