Too bad the lil Ride Smart haters can see the logic behind that. I guess they have to earn their keep somehow and encouraging people to spend twice the $ on their first track day is how they do it. LoL
That's a huge plus for me.

And rightly so. $60 for msrh with free leathers, boots and classroom instruction. I guess these other org employees are afraid you wont do another track day with them. I cant think of any other reason theyd advise you to spend all the extra money to ride elsewhere for your first day.

Like i said... After the first one then do whatever suits you.

Ridesmart is without a doubt the CHEAPEST first day trackday group out there...
no one can argue how CHEAP they are, it is indisputable...
and Thomas and Cdill35 are both good folks.

OK, I am set for June. I have a trailer and tie downs ready, got all the stuff to prep my bike. I still have to take it to Motorcycles Unlimited to get the suspesnion set up. I am all set on tools, gas cans, etc. I'm hoping to score a Gopro soon so I can document my 1st track day.
I have a stupid question, I don't have any tinted visors, is it ok to wear sunglasses?

Dave is a a real nice person, my first choice is always Ridesmart. I am not affiliated with anyone at all. I don't even personally know a single person on this forum. That's just my opinion.

June! You can get two practice trackdays in before then and now It may not be for everybody but you are definitely going about it the right way with all of the preparation

Don't drink the kool-aid on any one trackday organization. My first day was with RideSmart because of the leather rental deal. I ended up riding with just them for about year or so until I started branching out. Nothing against RideSmart but I wish I would have done it earlier, it's just cool to see how the different trackdays are run and the instructors/help you get. So far I have not even come close to disliking any organization, they all have their pros and cons. Now I just look at track day dates, and worry about who's putting it on later.

I thik the main question is "To do or Not to do" a TD. I betcha that you do it once and you'll do it again, and with all organizers. A track day was so valuable for me, that 10 plus years of doing it wrong was finally realized in 1 track day. I did my first with Ridesmart, and for what they offered for the first time, it was a super deal. A discount, free gear rental, etc. But now, the ony thing that dictates which track day to go is not the organizer but the date. I'm going for Fastline this month, and Ridesmart next month, and so forth. Go out there and have fun. If you dont have anyone to go with you, post it on the forum, and join some of us who have already been before. It helps to be with people who can give you some directions on how things work the firt day. But even if you dont get to join anyone, on track days, most people including staff and riders are very helpful and will never treat you like you are out of place.

How many can go with me and be in the "pit" rea. My wife, her 2 brothers and a friend of mine, all want to go to check it out(they all ride). I couldn't convince any of them to join me in a trackday, but they all want to check out what goes on. So can they all join me?

if you are going to take that many folks it is too bad you can not go to msrh on the 29th of this month... that is going to be one big blow out with lots of "other" activities, lots more for folks who are not riding to do... in conjunction with the MH BBQ... bet there will be 800 to 1000 folks there that weekend. I hate to miss it myself, but i will be racing up in Denton that weekend...
but Mike is right take as many folks with you as you want. they can sit the stands and watch all the groups ride... they will not get to spend too much time with you as you will be busy with classes after each session and your riding time. they will also need to bring a lunch as lunch is only served to the riders, so have them bring drinks and something to eat and folding chairs if they want to sit by your bike in the pit area. msrh has decent restroom facilites so it has a better situation for your wife and kids than some of the places do. gss for instance has only porta-cans, no real viewing area and no running water. as has been suggested, hookup with someone who had been a few times, it will make your day easier.
