Motorcycle wreck on 288 yesterday

I didn't see it happen but I saw them loading the Can-Am on the tow truck. Sure didn't look good.

Here's some video of the aftermath

I was up at the Triumph dealer getting a new tune for my new exhaust when I heard this on their radio. Thought it was pretty ironic watching a young kid buy what seemed to be his first bike when the words "motorcycle wreck" were blurted out through the shop.

I heard about this on the traffic report while driving home and said a prayer. I hope all are making a step in the right direction.

I agree about them being dangerous. They lack the safety of a closed cabin vehicle as well as the small footprint of a motorcycle.

I remember my first ever close call.

At 60 MPH a Guy next to me in a work truck rapidly merged into my lane from the right without warning or reason. I had an suv to my left and found myself between the two before I had any real time to think about it.

Had I been in a car, I would have been hit probably without incident.

Had I been on a trike, well it may have been a different story.
