What session was that? 3 whole laps without getting caught up in traffic. I was in B that day, but I don't think I ever got that much empty track!

They should have been in A.

We sat on the pit wall and hand timed Po-po in B group a couple of times. He was around the same pack of riders consistently around the 2:15 mark and he talked about traffic a few times.

I'm confused as to why three people would be running 1:55s in B group and not either be moved up by a control rider or voluntarily move up on their own. They would have had to struggle to run those times safely in a group with more than several riders being 20 seconds slower.

LSTD still polices the session. Seems like three guys running 55s would stand out in B group.

Significant difference between races and trackday sessions.

Considering Ride Smart has it's A group marker set at 2:12, yes - 2:30 seems acceptable for the slow end of a B group. 1:55 on the other hand is definitely not a B group pace.

Not trying to argue just stating fact that there was people running 55's in b group.
Yes, I was passing most people running those 2:15ish laps. There were likely people in B running 2:40s. 2:40-1:55 is adangerous gap. I'm suprised your "consistant" 1:55 guys weren't and moaning about everyone being so slow. I'm also suprised that they were able to run 1:55s as I don't think I got a 100% hot lap all day (though I didn't run the last session).

I got passed by a few people, but not like buzzed. there were less than a handful of bikes that passed me and walked away like they were running 55's.
i'm pretty sure it was probably only one or two guys running those times in the b group.

I was one of the faster B guys along with my student (i'm sure we were under the 2min mark), who by the way was moved into the A group at lunch time. We police the best we can but with limited control riders (3-4) and 20+ riders, we do the best we can, we also have lookouts in the corners. just like all other orgs, we move as we see fit, i rode almost every B session and felt that the pace of 90% of the riders was on par for the B group.

I do recall moving up 1 other guy to the A group, it may have been one of you (who knows, i don't know many of you) i believe a silver R6 maybe he/you were following me quite closely on a some fast laps??? I was riding the gsxr with no tail section wearing a purple jersey all day so, i came passed you, i was following a student.
