April LET'S PIC ANOTHER NOOB TO SEND TO THE TRACK!

I would prefer to have someone picked by the 15th to sign them up for the BBQ track day in hopes that we get lucky and win it for free!

But either way, once again we will let the noobs decide...

I will check this back for Saturday to hopefully make the deadline for Sunday the 15th.

What do you want to get out of it. everything. safety, turning smoothly, have confidence at corners, better judgements on roads, handling the bike better, better balancing...and most importantly - being a better rider at high speeds.

Why I'm interested in track: I rode hardcore on the street, got 8k miles on the r6 in the course of 5 months that it was running while I had it. I know first hand the dangers of treating the street like a track. This time around I want to keep it strictly on the track because I know I can't trust myself to do speed limit on the street. I figure if I'm gonna ride it hard and fast I might as well be as safe as possible and maybe ill make it to a year with this one.

What I expect to get out of track days: at the very least, a good shot of adrenaline while not having to worry about running into cagers, cops, or the other unknowns that come up when riding street. Ideally, ill have a chance to take my riding to the next level hopefully with help from people that know what they're doing.

I'm prepared to pay for for everything myself as that was the plan for me anyway so I guess this is more of a request for guidance when I actually get the bike and am ready to try the track as I've never been. Thanks in advance for any help/feedback I do receive.

Why are you interested in track. To learn how to ride my bike to its full potential.

What do you want to get out of it. To have utmost confidence in myself and the bike on the street as well as on the track. I believe with this confidence not only will i be able to better fend for my safety on the street in emergency situations, but i will be able to fully enjoy our collective hobby.

How long have you been riding?: 10+, street for only about 4

Why are you interested in track?: The closest I've ever been to track riding is country roads, which I realize is not very close at all. I ride my bike every day, rain or shine, as it is my only transpo, and I always enjoy it no matter what. I can only imagine how much I would love the track.

What do you want to get out of it?: I've always wanted to drop knee. I'm very comfortable on my bike as I'm on it every day, but there's always something new to learn and I've got a lot to learn as far as the track goes. Plus I'd like to get more involved with MH and cut back on the lurking haha.

Why are you interested in track.

I've always been a huge fan of motorsport since I was a kid. I competed in Gran Turismo 5's event to become a professional race car driver and placed 88th out of 150,000 or so contestants in the nation. I really understand the concept of racing, but have never hit the track. I drift my truck in parking lots and steal my dad's S2000 to hit the local back roads. I can't get enough of it.

What do you want to get out of it.

I have been looking to visit GSS after I saw a few videos of it recently, and this seems like a perfect opportunity to get started.

I need a new rear tire though :/
One thing I will say, I am disappointed that I do not see a lot of the noobs on the list participating in the forum...I want to come up with a better system, maybe one were the community tells me who is out there meeting and greeting or actually contributing. I myself have some people that I have been watching and observing, but do not want it to come off as a bias...So I dont know if I should mke recommendations..

You guys tell me.

Again, thank you all for the support and the donations. This would not be possible without all of you.

Happy Voting!

If you have someone to nominate, feel free to write them in...

I vote Dweebster. Paul is a standup guy and he has a specific thing he wants to work on: braking. I feel that track days are about working on skills and having a specific skill you want to work on makes for a targeted learning experience that you will get more out of.

Some of you noobs need to ask Ivan if you can re-write your submissions.
I don't plan on voting for anyone talking about, "All I wanna do is get a knee down" or "Get full lean and haul without cops."

With that said, I'm kinda tied for Ngawhat and Dweebster, they seem the most deserving at this point.

good points... that was on my mind as I read what some of them had to say... I saw visions of red flags in those posts.
