I like your taste in bikes haha. I've got an 87 CR500 I'm going to throw in a 450 frame one day. Also have an XR250R bored to a 277 with a cam. Plus an XR650R.

I'm feeling a little dirty.
I started thinking about my CRF450 tard and dropping a CR500 motor in it...is that wrong?

Very nice.

I bought the bike already converted back in '06 from MPS in Ohio. I cleaned it up and put several goodies into it over the years. A couple of years ago, I had a wad-up out at Highlands that angered an old knee injury and have sat out of MX track riding. About a year ago, I started trail riding again and decided to do a ground up refresh of the bike. I had to find some the things such as the grey fork guards in Canada because they don't come with the Throttle Jockey kit and couldn't find them anywhere in the US. The black front disk guard is from an '08 CRF250R. Also took my time with the refresh to let the knee heal up.

It's a brand called Helix and I got it at Rocky Mountain. If you look around, you can find it at most online stores like RM; sometimes the green is hard to come by. I saw a picture of some on another bike that was still translucent, but was a little darker shade of green. He never responded to my message asking where to get the darker green fuel line and I couldn't find it.

Kinda hard to forget that day. I wasn't the least bit happy about that fuel tank (@$%&ing alcohol in pump gas) rant. I replaced the tank on the 650R. Bought a Clarke tank; but didn't like the way it fit. So, I sprung for another stock tank. None of the trails in SHNF are too long for the stock tank and most other places I ride don't even come close to needing reserve.

Sorry, had to vent. Yes, I do remember you guys and I thought you'd said something about Byrdman being your handle when I saw your post.

Since the Forest is going to be closed for a while, I'm going back to MX track riding and that was another incentive for getting this bike going again. Might as well use the memberships at Rio and 3P I paid for.

I'd still like to hit some trails again and have been thinking about checking out Hidden Falls. Just wish it was closer.
