Im thinking to keep the same paint style but change it to white with a pearl blue stripe. Powdercoat the frame the same color.

Carzz wheels maybe?

they make a 180 rear conversion... Not sure how it affects handling.

Nice ride man! But I don't see how that's any safer than an SS.

Lower Top out speed? Not sure what the SS tops out at but the Thruxton tops out around 120ish. That's stock of course.

Either way, The Thruxton is a beautiful bike.

you won't find the carrozeria wheels anymore, they stopped making them, I know of only one set still for sale if they are still there. The bike
makes 60Hp stock, you don't need a 180 rear wheel, nor is the swingarm really capable without extensive work.

As for it being suited for the track, it can be after work, but you'll need high side pipes to have the cornering clearance, and rearsets that are higher than stock.

Oh, and this bike is more difficult on your wrists than a SS bike, it cants you forward onto your wrists and makes it slightly more difficult to keep your weight off the front end.

Look at the scrambler if the wrist is going to be an issue. Badass bike though I always liked matt's bike above.

Nice, I'm a sucker for retro-classics. My choice would be the Moto Guzzi V7 Racer though. Red frame+chrome tank= drool.

For some reason, she feels more comfortable with me on a bike thats not a "sportbike". I barley talked her in to a cafe racer... of course I called it a cafe bike

They don't have much power but the combination of torque from the two cylinder motor and with an upgraded tight suspension, It could be a very fun toy. Plus I really like the look.

As far as putting weight on my wrist goes, that "shouldn't" be an issue... according to my doctor. Heres what it looks like currently:

46lb ft of torque that is delivered in a linear manner so as not to be harsh or abrupt. The suspension is the first thing I'd fix, but you can ask kibitzer or anyone here who has ridden mine, it puts more weight on your wrists than a SS bike. You should ride one before deciding. If you do go with it i'd suggest the newer ones with m style bars vs clip ons, they do not fatigue you as much.
