FZ1 and R1? Help

Ok so I have a chance to pick up a 2004 FZ1 cheap.
I wanted to know what parts are interchangeable if any?
I know the frames are different. so i am wondering if the

The forum you want for that is http://www.yamahafz1oa.com/forum/

..and for the most part, the answer to your questions is no.

I know you can do an R1 front end swap on GEN II FZ, but don't know about GEN I. I think somebody made an adapter to fit an R6 shock to GEN I though.

But like Ulric said, check out the FZ1oa. It's a great site and there lots of info about what will fit which Gen from the R1.

The engine and stuff is from the first gen R1. I own/owned both bikes. There is very little that they share. I think the wheels will also swap.
