New guy here

Hey guys,

Took the BRC this past weekend at Awesome Cycles and was told about the forum. Now I just need to get a bike... Thinking about an R6 or Daytona 675.

Just something to think about. Yes you can ride a SuperSport and even learn to be a pretty good rider as your first bike but you may not ever develop more advanced skills because you will always be fighting for your life. The bikes I mentioned are good platforms to learn on that A) are very forgiving if you don't have throttle control that comes with time. B) Provides a platform that you can grow into as your skills grow C) forces you to learn more advanced techniques to close the power gap between it and the 600cc SS.

I mean it is friendly advice and not necessarily advice you should take. Just because anyone says it is good, doesn't mean it IS good.

I personally started on an SV and only have been riding coming up on a year and a half and frankly I am not fast, however just going to the track a couple times and the 250 guys can confirm this... if you can learn to hold the correct line, carry the corner speed you need and be fast on one of the aforementioned bikes... then you can be fast on anything.
