Thumbs down Electricity and Vicoden Rule!

I managed to take a full jolt of 110v electricity last week. I normally remove my ring as a habit before working on like this but I forgot and learned the hard way. It shorted on my wedding ring and burned the out of my finger. It sent molten gold into my other finger and heated my ring up sufficiently to melt it into my finger. It was so ****ing hot that I tried to rip the ring off my finger and it took the skin off with it. All in all, a great ****ing day.

1 electrical burn + 1 melted gold ring = 1 brutal scrubbing by nurse and tweezing of metal chunks out of the wound.

On the upside, I got a scrip for some Vicoden.

Please remove any jewelry before working on or near live electrical circuits.

I was in a serious car accident and they told me to take Advil. I was like WTF???!!! It really depends on the doctor. Some will prescribe the good stuff for a hangnail.

Never done that but I have had a nurse scrub and tweeve gravel and glass out of me before. You got my sympathy I know how gentle they are.

I think they TRY to hurt you. lol I don't think it was as bad as a road rash scrub though. I know they really have to give it to get the little particles out.

This thing is actually hurting worse right now that it did the day it happened. I have been trying to leave it uncovered at night to let it breathe. It is supposed to heal quicker like that. Unfortunately, when it gets a little scab on there, it really starts to hurt when you move it. I think the cooked nerves are starting to "wake up" too. Not fun and I am getting low on the good stuff.

I would be scared to be hooked up to the "button". I would have someone bring in some duct tape so I could just tape it down. lol It is scary how quickly the body becomes addicted to pain meds.
