besides myself, the only thing that has ever fallen off any of my bikes is a bar end from the R1

I lost a two day old EVO phone that survived in its Otter Box until some moron ran over it in his 4x4 as I was walking back to retrieve it.

I lost a front fender too once, along with a random inner fairing piece, a license plate and most of a 100 pack of zipties

Nothing as elaborate as some of these stories, but my GoPro HD. My friends and I with or wives, riding two up left the Dam Ice House on 6 headed south to Frankensteins to grab a bite after a morning ride. We pulled in the parking lot to park were i lad a kickstand malfunction and dropped the bike. (held it 'til I couldn't hold it no more, so no thump or damage... Whew!). As I was picking it up my friend asked whet was my camera. I freaked! We left out ladies standing as we took of. He said he saw something in the road on the bridge just north of Bellaire. As we were hitting the bottom of the hill, just slowing down from a high rate of speed we saw a cop at the top of the hill. My friend started to point down. There was my camera, in perfect condition except for a scratch in the case in the middle of the lens. No cars hit it (again whew!), but now when i record, there's an annoying dot in the middle of the picture. Still was a great day.

I lost a blackberry pearl on the first day I got it, and my passenger seat. Oh and my EZ tag flew off of my windshield the other day not sure if that counts.

Lost a bar end and a tank bolt. I'm pretty good about giving the bike a good inspection on a regular basis. I couldn't imagine loosing a shift linkage or something like that. I have found loose hardware (including a shift linkage) that probably would have come off at some time had I not retightened it. Things that are found loose get replaced with Loc-Tite. I don't want stuff coming off the bike, especially in traffic.
