welcome to MH.

there are plenty of aftermarket goodies for a gsxr 600.

as far as buying online i have always had a good exp. with jason from sportbiketrackgear.com

plenty of info on here that you can find if you spend some time browsing the boards, find suggestions on hids, or exhaust like you said you were looking for.

don't forget to browse the classified section here too.

Thanks guys. But, what about around Housto? Any local shops you recommend going or staying away from? I'm limited to time, especially for installations and all. I will also need a drop kit. I'm on my tippy toes when trying to stand.

Leave the exhaust alone. No valid reason to mess with it unless it was damaged in a crash.

There are plenty of shops in Houston. The most highly recommended one would be Motorcycles Unlimited, check the forum sponsors section and send Patrick a message, he'll give you an idea of what you are looking at. And welcome to the forum, great guys (and ladies), great meet/great and rides!

We can do both the HID and the exhaust. Give me a call at the shop later this morning and I can discuss your optins for both.

Thanks for the advice. I have completed the MSF course last year. And I bought the bike from my sister. I only use the helmet when I ride.

While it is good that you use a helmet.

Please take some of that money and buy yourself some more protection a riding jacket, gloves and some boots at the very minimum. Road rash hurts bad, and you want to be able to protect your feet.

Welcome to Motohouston. Make it out to a noob ride or to a meet some time.
