Oh, I didn't see this one. It's that stupidly wide because it's a horizontal twin / "boxer" / flat engine. The pistons stick out of the sides of the bike, so that dictated how wide it was going to be. Above that, there's also a ridiculously sized 8.7 gallon tank, which if you were driving at 55mph consistently, would get you something like 440 miles of range. The rest of the bike, behind the engine is the battery, airbox, fuel injection, ect, it's all fairly narrow, comparatively.

It's still narrower than the handlebars, so it's not like it's particularly impairing your ability to go down trails, the weight and top heavy ~9 gallon tank do though.

I bet it runs smooth compared to the versys.

You should do a track day on it!

I dig the gay truck.

I got my GSA new from Gulf Coast BMW. I just did my 600 mile service on it today (about 300 miles late, lol) and they had just put another GSA on the floor almost exactly like mine.

I wish I could just edit posts to add more pictures instead of bumping with a reply.

I stripped the old stickers off my trax panniers, and installed new reflective world maps. I thought they were cool, I ripped the idea off from advrider.

I'm still waiting on my new REV'IT gear to replace my ratty old Fly Racing and Tourmaster stuff. I'm also short one part to install my old Zumo 665.

Where did you find the map sticker? Google is failing me.

I had them made by a sign company. I used http://doityourselflettering.com/ and just told them what I wanted with an example picture. I had mine cut for 9x20" and just trimed a bit of Australia to fit.

The reflective vinyl was expensive, and I used a special spray to help apply it (regular water+dawn wont work for it).

You could get it done cheaper using regular vinyl, and apply it using the wet method. Probably even get it done at a local Houston sign company if you could find one that was reasonably priced.

SW Motech Trax. 37L Panniers. They are pretty decent. They are also relatively cheap at less than 400$ a piece compared to some brands than are 700$+. You don't feel too bad beating them up.

More pictures, I installed my Old Zumo 665 on the beemer and got new gear.

REV'IT Defender Jacket and Pants and an Arai helmet.

Foggy...

I was testing the fit of all my gear with thermals and rain liners in... Quite warm... It's more tolerable when it's out.

Yeah, I got a whole pack of folks down here I ride with. We all got random .

I have the GS and the Versys, another friend has a Victory Vegas and a Versys, theres a guy with a KLR, and a guy with a Yamaha power cruiser of some sort, then there's a chick with an ER6n. We could start a Southern Brazoria county group that isn't full of Harleys. lol...
