said they have them in stock.

i was really pleased with the scorpion lid for being so affordable. exo400 for 70$

cannot speak from experience on their higher priced lids but i would be willing to bet they would be decent.

Too many

I've got a Bell RS1 and it's very nice. It's also a whole lot lighter than my buddies Scorpion.
I do wear ear plugs though since I've found that most helmets with really good airflow have some noise.

Unless it's a short hop to the neighborhood gas station, I always wear earplugs. I buy a box of 100 and stuff a handful in every riding jacket I have.

As for helmets, the fact that you decide to wear one - hopefully a full-face - already increased your odds of surviving a crash by many orders of magnitude.

Brand, cost, style, features, availability, etc. ALL pale in comparison to one thing - FIT. The best lid in the world won't do a thing to protection you, if it doesn't fit your noodle bowl well. If you aren't sure what fits you, I highly recommend you visit a store to try a variety of different lids.

I have a oddly shaped head that is flat on the back, and try as I might, I couldn't find anything else other than Shoei's that fit me well. But that's just me. Everybody's head is different.

That said, I cheap out on a lot of things, but helmet ain't one of them. Buy the best you can afford. A more expensive helmet might not afford you any more protection, but it will usually have more features and be more comfortable, which might make you more likely to wear it every time.

One MUST feature for me is removable liners. I wash them regularly to keep them fresh, and replace them when they start to get worn out.

Not a problem. I went between that site and helmet manufacturers' sites for almost a month before settling on my Shark. Keep in mind that the info on that site is getting dated. Some of the helmets listed are discontinued.
