Good deal man.

Options are on the table, but won't know what is what until I get my insurance check.

I'm not really into SS, so personally I'd say Z1000.
I think the 650r might not have enough power for you, but try one and see. I haven't spent enough time on an SV650 to say, but my friend and i are dead even when we race... so I'd say the sv and 650r have to be VERY close power wise.
They feel very different as far as bars and fairings.... but bars can be changed, and you mention liking naked.
You can still do clipons with Z1000, 650r, or SV, and you can strip the 650r to make a sexy naked bike. Insurance should be cheaper on all of them than a SS.

Maybe ride one of these for a little while and look for the perfect track bike to add to the stable. 'Cause the suspension may be limiting for you on the track. BUT... you won't be missing any days, cause they are trackable. And sisterable.

I know of a discount for the new ninja 650. I think you may recall me telling you of it one of the Brothers pizza meet.

I agree. the 650r seems a bit lack luster. I loved my SV, but didnt really like the 650r the same way (test rode SNOW's). Additionally, the 650r has a GARBAGE suspension that you would have to put money into.

Z1000, has a better built suspension and gobs of streetable power (suggest you drop a front tooth on a it). looks tons better than a 650r too!

I remember.

I do like the way those new ones look, it just might be above my budget. Don't really want to finance..

there are a couple z1000's in your range. You just might have to go to dallas to get her. I could help out with that. Check craigs. I saw a couple, and 06 and 07. One the color of your last bike and the other a black and red. I think those bikes look really tuff, and would be great on the street and track

Must be on CRACK if he thinks an 03 23k + mile bike is worth that much...

He must also know a guy that has an 03 R6 for 5k..

I guess 03 was a good year for Value retention on 600cc bikes.
