I guess I should get ready to start looking again, need suggestions. Sorta, well.....

More like, your input.

After hearing the sense of urgency of hpd to find my bike and speaking to my insurance company. Looks like I have to start looking for a new bike.

I have owned a 1996 Honda cbr 600 f3 it was my learning bike and I enjoyed it much.

A 2002 Honda f4i which was the one I started doing trackdays on and gettingway more aggressive on the street, I felt extremely comfortable on that bike, I really think I was in really good tune with that bike.

A 2006 Kawasaki 636 that I had a good amount of fun, I didn't get as comfortable as I felt on my cbr but I still had fun...it could have been the fact that I did my trackday on it and was not able to open her up like I wanted.

Now, they are all gone and now looking for something new and possibly different.

For sometime now I have been tossing some salads and the idea of getting a ninja 650r or an sv650 for the street and a cheap 600 (joeybaila) for track duty.

My friend keeps telling me that I might end up getting bored on either of those 2 650s...but I don't think so, then again I have not riden one yet. Though I like the way Switch has his set up, a lot! I guess I'll have to ride one and see.

Another thing I was tossing around(aside from salads) was getting something like a streetfighter or naked bike. Saw on a dealer's website a sweet looking Z1000, that looks mean...and then I also saw the guy on here that was selling the Sv1000 (not the super stealth mode One though). So I thought those could work too. I even though about Ducati, but then got brought back to reality, that I'm not Pachuco and don't got it like that.

I was looking at the Duke that just sold, but was not sure that is what I want.

I like sports bikes and I don't want to give them up, but if I can get something that can do the same job or get one for street and one for track, that would be good too.

As far as sportsbikes I would still want one if the price is right, I like Honda and would be my first choice, I owned the 636 which was the bike that I had always wanted, but that turned me off a bit. I really love the body style of the 2007-2008 zx6 in all red, that gets my going.

I'm not opposed to R6, though when I rode one before I wasn't really comfortable I think it was because Renzo is the size of a midget and his bike was set up too cramped. Not too long ago I rode Crimson Ghost's R6 and I really felt good on it. So, that is another option.

I'm ok with a gsxr 600 or 750. I wouldn't mind them.

Right now I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'll be looking at and what people think. I don't know exactly how much I will be receiving, but my pricing range will probably be around the $4000 mark, so I might be limited.

Anyways, thanks for reading, this is just to start getting ideas on what I might end up getting. My riding style for the most part is pretty conservative in the straights and I like to have a lot of fun in the turns. I won't be needed street riding pucks, but I do want to win the RR trophy someday

I know how much mh likes to give their input on things and just away time typing about where you think your areas of expertise are . So, go ahead and tell me what you think about what I wrote. If you even read through it.

I gotta tell ya, I almost fell asleep writing this .

Quick notes:
Doesn't seem I'm getting my sports bike back and now have to look for a new one.
Budget might be round $4K.
Open to any brand 600-750 SS
Like nakeds
Like Ducati, but too broke.

And yes, I have seen the bike that Romeo36 is selling, and let me tell ya, if I didn't have such a bad taste in my mouth from salad tossing and the 636, I would have not even started this thread...but it still is one that I want to look at..

Ok, comment away.

Pictures help.

.
Everything is better nekid. Great bikes that can do everything, street, tour, track. That's my opinion at least. Ride somebody's naked and see how you like the seating position and handle bars. Most are easily comfortable enough for multiple day long trips. They only get uncomfortable when you're in the triple digits+

You kept on going back to Ducatis in your post. Motorcycles are not responsible decisions, go with your heart.

Naked all the way, and if you ride a Z1000, you won't go back to anything less, a liter bike is so intoxicating, as long you have a responsible right hand.

Not to mention they look mean, specially the Z. And, most of the time insurance is cheaper.

Im a bigger guy, so my way of looking at bikes is different. I dont like the Yamaha's because they just arent comfortable for me. Im sure they are great bikes, just not for me. I dont like Hondas, just personal preference......so I wont pass judgement on them. Really liked the ZX-6r I rode. I am partial to Suzuki. I loved my 06 600. I think if you can find a 04/05 or 06/07 750 it would be perfect. You get a little more power then the 600, but with the handling of a 600. But thats just my opinion

I was also considering what insurance would be...is why I was going for no SS on street and just track.

Triumph speed triple if you want naked or Daytona 675. Not a 600 or 750 but would be a great compromise!

You can ride my bike.

Just don't take it anywhere or park it...

Seriously, though - ride several bikes, sit on them, see how you like them. I really will let you ride mine, but it's not going to be like other SV's. I'm sure there are others here willing to give you a test ride, too.

Good luck!

My heart actually belongs to Honda, I was going to violate your bike on that ride went, but you never turned around long enough

Ducati, just look nice and I like the monster and the 999 but I know I can't afford it, or maintenance. Plus it's always a panty dropper when you tell a chick, "yeah, it's a Ducati"
