Rider Down - Serious

This morning on my ride in to work I decided to take the side streets around a group of flashing lights and E-vehicles on Bay Area about half a block up to the next set of lights. I parked my bike in the usual place with the other bikes, but Francisco's bigass blue Busa wasn't there. It's alright, I've gotten there before him plenty of times in the past. Yeah, yeah,

So anyway, they lifeflighted him out. Lot's of broken . Legs, wrist, etc. Unconcious with very low BP. Don't want to speculate, but sounds like internal bleeding. Saw that with my own son. That's what happens when you T-bone an SUV at 65mph. The speed limit is 35 on Bay Area, but a couple other guys from work saw it. He coudn't wait to get around a couple cars so he cut off one driver and opened her up just as the SUV made a turn infront of him to get into thier driveway. He had less than a split second to react.

The guys are work said the SUV had plenty of time had Francisco not been going like a bat out of a very hot place. It was like he didn't even see the SUV. Francisco drags and knows about safety and difference b/w track and street.

The SUV driver had his wife and kid with him, but no one was hurt there.

On the brighter side - Ron's son seems to be doing a little better. I have details that are good news, but Ron asked me not to post them until more can be determined. At least he's doing better.

Is anyone else as off as I am about this rash of stupidity that's been going around with riders doing stoopit lately?

It just seems that for the last month there's been some bad street juju out there. Be a Lert. Houston needs more Lerts. And stop goofing off where you're not supposed too because Jobu is looking for ya to slip up just a little.

Please be extra careful on the streets.
