useless pc3???

Ok so I got my bike a couple months ago and this weekend I took it apart to clean it and realized the pc3 isn't even plugged up, now I know how to plug it up but I have no wiring for it and have never done anything with a pc3, any advice on what to do to put it to use would b helpful, thanks!

You'll need a 9 volt power supply. I don't have any extra adapters or I'd give you one but somebody on here probably does.
I'd plug tje unit into a PC before installing it to verify if it's even communicating.

Ok I gotcha, thanks! Ok so now the question is does anyone have the wires to set my pc3 up, or know where I can buy just the wires

pretty sure its just a mini USB to a USB, most digital cameras use them or you can pick one up at bestbuy, radio shack

And you can use a 9v battery and two wires to power the pc3 while not on the bike.

EDIT: I used a pair of aligator clips last time.

If I remember correctly the wiring on my pc3 is hardwired to the unit, has the harness been cut off of yours?

A bike shop by my house is going to give me the usb, and no all the wires going to the engine r good, so if I plug it to my computer while its hooked to the bike I won't need the 9v battery hook up to turn it on?

Ya that's what I'm thinking, I'm not gonna b too happy if it doesn't work. lol what should come up when I plug it in for me to know if its working or not

Unless the bike is running the PC3 has to have a 9 volt for programming.

Will it hurt anything if I have it hookEd up to the computer and everything with the bike running and the pc3 not work?
