WSBK

For the first time in a long time I'm really excited about the upcoming season.
Why you ask, two words...Max Biaggi. I know, I know alot of people can't stand him and to be honest with you, I'm not sure that I do either, with that being said I'm still curious to see what he can do. I can think of a dozen other riders that are more exciting to watch(crossed up, end sliding, rear wheel drifting, backing it in type riders) go around a race track but something deep inside me wants biaggi to do well.

Tire testing has completed in qatar and biaggi ran a 1'58"9 and the faster rider(bayliss) finished at a 1'58"1. This to me is very inspiring, of course lap times are not always relevant. However it shows promise, for one Bayliss is on a familiar bike, (biaggi) on his new to him motorcycle seems to be adapting well. The same could be said for corser on his new yamaha, he ran a 1'58"9 as well.

So I'm curious to see what you guys think, is this the kick in the that biaggi needed? Will he do well and return to motogp? or will he do well and stay in WSBK? or will he fail miserably and completely fall off the face of the earth? Truly the man is talented but will his larger than life ego ruin him?

I think Biaggi will do well in WSBK, but he will have some tough competition. If a good MotoGP ride comes up after the 2007 season for Max, he will probably go back to GP's.

Well, the least you can expect is that there could be some fire works when he wheelies his ego in the post race interviews. I don't share your views about Biaggi.
I think he is an ego-maniac. That has got to cloud his judgement and make him less of a rider than he could be. He may sell tickets for the same reason tho'. People love to hate guys like him.
Why else would Tony Stewart have any fans at all?

Bring on the hate cuz NASCAR sucks!

I dont think Max belongs in Moto GP. I think his attitude will remain the same and he will fail. Just my opinion

Not my favorite rider, but he is good and a good character. (not saying he HAS good character, just that he IS one. lol) I'd like to see him back on the MotoGP circuit, but so be it. I hope he does well in WSBK though!

I got 10 bux that says he gets in a fist fight by round 4. :icon_bigg

+1 I think the abilities (talent) of the WSBK field was answered when Troy Bayliss stepped in on short notice and was a wire-to-wire winner in the last Moto GP race of the year.

I bet Corser is going to punt him off the track in the first race... kinda like a welcome to WSBK and thanks for taking my ride. :laughing6

It's funny how all these GP racers retire to WSB.

I believe that Biaggi still has it. It seems that Alex Barros was able to win a WSBK race on a CBR1000 so I would say that Biaggi will be equally if not more competitive on the brand new GSXR1000.

+1

He has the bike and talent, I think he will be running with the top 5 and maybe win 1 or 2 races.

Biaggi should do well but Like someone mentioned earlier . There are too many talented riders in WSBK for him to stay right up in front for long.

I apologize for the spoiler.. I guess I should have marked it more clearly... However since SPEED TV sucks... They chose not to play the race until Tuesday of next week.... Once again sorry if I gave up any information no one wanted to know yet.. :eh:

Already having a WSBK championship under your belt would impress most people.
