BYRDMAN's DRZ Big bore install

Bought and extra at a pretty good price that I am going to build off of. It's a helluva lot easier to work on a motor off the bike. I cleaned it and tore it down pretty quick.

I am going in with Stage 1 Hotcams and a Cylinder works +4mm big bore kit. I'm getting the head inspected this week and hopefully my cam chain will be in this week too. Here are some pics I snapped so far from my dirty work bench.
Any tips, tricks for the install u might have let me know

That's a fair bit of rust on that connecting rod.
Are you going to pull down the engine completely and inspect the bearings?

No did this project just get more expensive?
I really haven't looked into the steps for splitting the case, is it difficult? When I think of splitting cases I think of a cartoon where the guy opens a box and springs and gears come flying out at him

Not a big deal. If you need a manual I've got one you can borrow, you can pick it up when you drop off the head.

Pretty much.
Just check them for pitting and the rod and main bearing surfaces for the same.
Also inspect the trans bearings and oil pump rotor.

Very nice. You know you are addicted to riding when you decide to put the big bore in a different engine so you don't have a day of downtime. F****** junkie.
