Could have? you mean you didn't get laid?
If you go to the nice part of Mexico City (Polanco) you will find the nices bars, restaurants, stores (Versace, Armani, Cartier, Chanel etc). It is Mexico City Rodeo Dr.

How are the prices there compared to the US stores?

A little higher than here. I paid $240 for some Emporio Armani slacks here and paid $320 for some in Mexico City. But you cannot compare the night life with the one here. In order to get into the bars/clubs you must be dressed nice so in return everyone in the bar/club is well behaved and well dressed. You buy bottles over there instead of drinks so they serve you and friends bottles which is much cheaper than buying individual drinks.

well, I got back a few hours ago.......beign born and raised in Mexico helped a lot, you know, I'm from Monterrey, so i adapted easily to Guadalajara (I drove all the way from Houston there..lol)

This are the most interesting things about Guadalajara

Women......well, in Monterrey , well, there are beautiful women, but in Guadalajara, there are some that are just downright gorgeous....tall, long legged, light skinned, many with green eyes.....I wish I was single...lol.

Food......I'm mexican, so I know a good taco when I eat one...but there just another world.....I ate a 'torta ahogada" is a "bolillo" bread with some pork, or chicken, and then they submerge the whole thing in a tasty tomato sauce, and if you like it spicy, they put some more chile sauce, and it really kicks hard. I ate a 'jericaya' which is a dessert made of milk and some other stuff, very tasty. Tacos?? so many different ones i didn't have the chance to try them all. I also drank something call 'tejuino'......is that right Alberto?? lol I couldn't get enough og it, is corn which is fermented a little bit, that thing knocked my socks off! and the food is cheap....really cheap!! just avoid the fancy restaurants..too expensive and you'll eat better at the taco stands...guaranteed. and no, I didn't get sick, not even once, and my 3 yo son ate the same stuff I did every time, and he didn't get sick either.

Places to go.....where doI begin??? this city is full of history, it has like 50 something churches, and there are so many interesting places to go, I was so tired at the end of the day from walking.

Traffic....well, this is bad........so many cars, but that's not the problem, the drivers are, they are just too aggresive, but since I learned to drive in Monterrey, I was able to fend them off (and to be the aggresor onc in a while too..lol)

I visited the following cities around Guadalajara......

Tonala..., this place got so many things to buy, like ornaments, furniture, things to decorate the house, paintings, vases, I mean, you could literally fill any house with the things the people were selling, the quality was excellent and the prices very affordable.

Zapopan, this city is where the more affluent people lives, and it shows, the neigborhoods are very nice, in a word is a very nice city, lot's of places to hang out and eat something with frinds.

Mixtlan, this is where my wife grew up, about an hour and a half outside the big city, this small town is so beautiful, every body greets you when you walk, people are so friendly, and the last 30 miles or so of road that connects Mixtlan to the city puts Deals Gap to shame, the asphalt is in good condition and it's so sinous I immediatly tought of ripping it in a sportbike, I even have some video, when I get the time I'll post some.

Well, there's more, but even i haven't digested everything that i did there.....one thing that I vividly remember is that the 24th, a lot of my wife's family gathered in Mixtlan to celebrate, and one of her cousins told me that he brought my "homework" and when he handed me the package, it was a liter of "cazadores' tequila, one of my favorites....well, by 1 am the whole bottle was gone........I drank the whole thing.......and I felt great, untill the next morning...lol.

PICS TO COME!
