RIP to that rider, but all RIP's have family and loved ones, me and my heart extends even more for the small kids who will have little to no memories of the loved one they lost,

I lost a friend on his 4th ride with full gear.. he cracked his helmet doing 45mph.. never got up after that.. I dont like reading threads like this.. it brings back memories.

Ride safe!

Hey dbuck does the family need any kind of help with money? Of so we can put something together to try and help the family. Pm me if interested.
I'll see if I can catch his mother or g/f at some point tomorrow to see what they need help with and if any arrangements have been made. Outside looking in I wouldn't think so regarding $$$, but I'll be sending flowers or something at the least....and I'm gonna do my best to supply the family with some meals when things settle down in a couple of weeks....like any tragedy, seems to be an abundance of loved ones coming and going quite a bit. We weren't friends, just neighborhood acquaintances....but both of us shared the passion of riding and it just hits home with me. Like someone else said, a lot of us were young n dumb (like me) when we were younger and beat the odds....unfortunately, Amir did not.

maybe 6 months....he sold his Mercedes to get it. It was his daily transportation....I tried numerous times (without being too intrusive, ya know) to poke at him for no brain bucket. Still haven't heard details so I don't know if a helmet would have helped his situation though. I should have been more persistent.

D don't beat ourself up over this. You informed him, he's an adult and he made an adult decision. Just help his family thru this difficult time.

Once again someones stupidity has caused pain and suffering for their loved ones. Think about others who live and care for you before acting irresponsibly.

Actually just called my friend to get the story.. And supposively amir was flyn (around 100) down fairbanks weavin in between cars and came up on a stopped s.u.v.. Hit car and flew through intersection. No 18 wheeler involved or running over. Also his mom was behind him and saw it. (about to drop off bike to above person) This is hearsay, but you didnt hear this dbuck?

Since i cant help myself, other people were on scene he knew and said he was unidentifiable.
i don't think she saw it happen, but she did come up on the scene about 10 minutes after it occured. While we talked, I wasn't asking specifics....I was consoling her over the loss of her son. My other neighbor gave me the info, not sure how it was filtered.

RacerX-unfortunately I knew it was only a matter of time...his riding style in/out of the neighborhood led me to believe that....even told Bean a few weeks ago while out in the driveway, unfortunately he didn't get a second chance....the last time I bugged him about the helmet situation I asked him to lay off the throttle when coming in/out of the 'hood. I can say that he respected that desire of mine over the last 2 weeks. Just an all around situation.
