Friends Crash on Vid

He was riding his wifes bike. A 2011 Street Triple. He later found out suspension is only meant for 150lb, should of got R model. Looks like he started to go wide because the guy in his front was hitting his brakes. If you watch closely you see a bag or something in the road which caused him to lose traction.

wasn't the bike's fault, it was the riders. optimally the bike is set up for a 150lb rider, but it'll work fine w/ nearly any weight rider.

w/ that said, i'm getting the fat boy springs on my ohlins shock soon.

I keep replaying it. Doesn't look like the angle would mean he ran over whatever that was. Looks more like a nice helping of front brakes across the paint line.

Just based on what I see on the video.

I had a Street Triple. At over 250lbs it was soft but even on the track at pace it still held a line just fine.

That was 100% rider error.

Looks like target fixation is a mother. Probably a newer rider.

Yep, looking at the inside portion of the lane would have been helpful

blaming it on suspension when your taking a long wide turn.......tell him to slow down and learn how to ride before the guard rail becomes on coming traffic

I admit at the track I get distracted by the bikes ahead of me. I find that I do better when I have a wide berth ahead of me which admittedly is something I have to overcome..

Yeah, braking while still leaned over on the painted line doesn't help him much either.
