MX Track Recommendation

I'm looking to take my buddy's yz125 that I'm storing for him to the track this weekend and I havent ridden MX in about 6 years. What track would be the best for an easy going day? Rio & Highlands are the closest but I wouldn't mind driving to 3 Palms. How much is admission?

Rio all day...won't be nearly as busy and less chance of being hit mid air by a James Stewart fanatic. I think it's like $35 your first visit with the membership and $15 or $20 every visit after for the next yr. 3 Palms is much more than that. both should have websites.

Rio is having family day on Saturday. It was busy last year, but still fun. Someone said that Roger DeCoster would be there. He and the owner, Danny are friends. They gave away a few prizes last year and had BBQ.

The family day is Sunday? That's when I'm looking to ride, would it be open to public like normal?

Rio is never open to the public to ride. You must be a member as dbuck says. Regular price is $50 a year and includes your first days ride. You can get that discounted sometimes with membership in another group that is affiliated with them, i.e. TRH? etc.

There is riding on Sunday but tracks have set times for riding based on bike class.
