I like wearing my gear. Looks cool and mysterious.

I wont wear florescent stuff though. Just too ugly.

I'd be too cautious if I rode without gear. What's the fun in that?

My best friend would always ride without a helmet on a 1000rr. Everyone he rode with would always tell him to wear a helmet. Thats when he told me "I know i need to wear a helmet, but if i do im going to stand out from everyone else with one". And thats how he got THE PREDATOR helmet, ha ha. Gets more attention than any car on the street. But he now wears a helmet he likes to put on everytime.

Wow, this topic seems to have struck a cord with a few people. I'm new here but, I've been riding for over 30 years and have lost friends who weren't riding with the right gear.

Truth is we can just as easily die crossing the street. When its your time...its your time. It might seem selfish as to how reckless not wearing a helmet is but, if they go down they are only going "physically" hurt themselves.

I would hate to see what would happen if there was a thread about riders that race of public street and endanger the lifes of innocent people!

There's a million what-ifs. I could die posting on MH.
The thread is about self preventable injuries, not if a meteor falls on you while you're watching tv.

I only posted this thread cause I was upset the guy took off his cap to show me his huge laceration cut on the top of his head and said it was cause because he wasn't wearing a helmet at that time... then he folds his cap up, puts it in his rear pocket, and hammers it down the feder like a bat out of . All this and it is RAINING for crying out loud. I just wanted to vent my frustration in his stubbornness to protect himself even after all that had happened.
