2011 Kawasaki zx10r

I'm considering buying a non-current 2011 zx10r and was quoted an out-the-door price of $12,330 with $3,000 down. Is this a good price? I have no experience in purchasing a new motorcycle so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Oh and Kawasaki has promos for $1,250 cash towards purchase price and 3.99% for 36mo financing.

Watch out for those balloon payments and hidden fees.

Guy up here bought a new R1 with the 2.99% for 36 months. After the third year it jumped up to 26% and he got hit with a $7,000 balloon payment.

That's because it's on a credit card. Accrued interest and all that bullshit.

Yeah I think the apr goes up to 29% after the 36mo but I would pay it off before then.

I'm headed over to mancuso sw to see what kind of deal I can get.

I think you meant $ 12,330 out the door , with $ 3000 down
means you are financing 9,330 for 36 months at 3.99%
Whats happening is Kawasaki is going to give you a kawasaki credit card with a limit of say 15K and a balance of 9,330 at 3.99% your payments if you make the minimum will not pay the bike off in 36 months and then the promotion 3.99% will go way up on the remaing balance plus if you put more purchases on the card you will get screwed harder.

Although I have done this with Kawasaki, I made dam sure I put nothing else on the card and paid it off with in the 36 months.

Well I just got back from Mancuso sw just before closing. After 15min of small talk with the salesman the finance guy said $12,500 out-the-door was the best he could do. I did mention that the gulf freeway store had the 2011 models listed at $10,417. I still think that's high considering a 2012 Suzuki Gsxr 1000 is $12,500 OTD and 0% financing for 5yrs.

I wouldn't pay interest on a bike loan unless that's your only mode of transportation.

Its not. I have a tundra (kills me on gas) but is one of a truck and a 07 Gsxr 750 which I will probably be selling to finance the new 1000.

Lol^

Yah, V8 was the reason I got my bike. After 33,000 miles, the gas savings will have paid for the bike. My bike was $2200.

If u can pay cash, I would go used
